We strongly encourage rescue when finding a new pet. 20% of dogs and cats in shelters are purebred - there are thousands of great dogs and cats waiting for a new home that are needlessly euthanized. This is a sad epidemic that can only be changed through education and action. Please use the resources above as well as searching for specific breed rescue groups if you prefer a certain breed.
